The county's flipping into festival season all at once this week: flowers in Snohomish, a lighthouse in Mukilteo, pretzels and polka in Edmonds, and a fairground full of livestock and funnel cake in Monroe. Grab a jacket for the evenings and let's get into it.

Evergreen State Fair — Fri, Sept 4 through Labor Day, Mon, Sept 7, 10:30am–10pm (7pm close Labor Day), Evergreen State Fairgrounds, Monroe. The last big run of the county fair season: carnival rides, livestock barns, fair food, and live entertainment through the holiday weekend.

Snohomish In Bloom — Sat, Sept 12, 11am–6pm, First Street & the Carnegie Building, Snohomish. A brand-new flower festival for downtown Snohomish, with botanical art displays from local florists, an open-air flower and artisan market, and a Dahlia Community Show with voting through 3pm.

Mukilteo Lighthouse Festival (Mukfest) — Fri, Sept 11 – Sun, Sept 13, Evergreen Playfield Complex, Mukilteo. Three days of festival grounds, beer garden, and vendors, capped by the "Heart of Mukilteo" parade through downtown Saturday at 11am.

Rotary Club of Edmonds Oktoberfest & Family Festival — Fri, Sept 11, 3–8pm & Sat, Sept 12, noon–7pm, Edmonds Civic Center Playfield. A community-built Oktoberfest with food, beverages, and family entertainment, put on by the Rotary Club of Edmonds.

Seagaze Festival — Fri, Sept 11 – Sat, Sept 12, multiple downtown Everett venues (Bayside, Horseshoe Bar & Cabaret, Lucky Dime, El Sid). A scrappy, DIY multi-venue indie music festival with rotating lineups both nights across downtown Everett.

Fair on 44th — Sat, Sept 12, Lynnwood Civic Campus. Lynnwood's community block party, with 44th Ave closed for city department demos, vehicle tours, and family activities.

Fri, Sept 4 — No Quarter (Led Zeppelin tribute) @ Historic Everett Theatre (Everett), 8pm.

Everett: Everett Farmers Market runs Sundays, Sept 6 & 13, 10:30am–3pm at 2930 Wetmore Ave. Schacktoberfest continues at Schack Art Center through Sept 27, with 1,000 glass pumpkins and a fall silent auction. Imagine Children's Museum hosts a Neighborhood Harvest Party on Sat, Sept 12, with timed entries for apple crafting and harvest baskets. Everett Public Library kicks off fall storytimes this week and screens "Such a Special Place: Clark Park," a local-history documentary with the filmmakers, Thu, Sept 10, 6–7:30pm at the Main Library. The Everett Silvertips play preseason hockey at Angel of the Winds Arena Fri, Sept 4 through Fri, Sept 11.

Edmonds: The Edmonds Museum Summer Market runs Saturdays, Sept 5 & 12, 9am–2pm on 5th Ave N. Steel Magic Northwest plays free steel-drum concerts at the Port of Edmonds Plaza Sat, Sept 5 at 5pm and Main Street Commons Sun, Sept 6 at 5pm. Cole Gallery opens "Celebrate Color, Light & the Changing Seasons" with an artist reception Sat, Sept 5, 5–7pm. The Edmonds Classic Car & Motorcycle Show fills downtown streets Sun, Sept 6, 11am–5pm, with 300-plus classic cars and live music.

Snohomish: The Snohomish Farmers Market runs Thursdays, 3–7pm at Cedar Ave & Pearl St, including Sept 10. The Snohomish Wine Walk winds through downtown businesses Sat, Sept 12, 4–8pm, starting at Velvet & Oak Wine and Events.

Mukilteo: Beyond Mukfest, look for weekly live music at Turning Paige Wine & Bistro (Fri, Sept 4, 5:30–8:30pm) and Cabernets & IPAs (Sat, Sept 5, 6–9pm), plus a musician jam session at Bits on Mon, Sept 7, 5:30–10pm.

Lynnwood: Vaughn's Teaching Farm & Kitchen hosts S'mores Night Fri, Sept 4 at 6pm, blanket and lawn chair encouraged. The Lynnwood Library holds a Fall Sensory Play Day for kids of all abilities Tue, Sept 8, 10:30–11:30am.

Marysville: The Marysville Library hosts Clementine the Nature Detective, an interactive storytelling show about resource conservation, Fri, Sept 4, 3:30–4:30pm.

Lake Stevens: The library celebrates Grandparent's Day with "Goodies with Grandparents" Fri, Sept 11, 10:30–11:30am, and hosts Barks & Books, where kids read aloud to certified therapy dogs, Sat, Sept 12, 10:30–11:30am.

Stanwood: The Stanwood Farmers Market runs Fridays, 2–6pm at 8727 271st St NW, including Sept 4 and Sept 11.

Arlington: The Arlington Farmers Market runs Saturdays in downtown Arlington near N. Olympic Ave, including Sept 5 and Sept 12. The library's Basics of Food Preservation session, with a WSU Extension pickling demo, is Sat, Sept 5, 11am–12:30pm.
